Benjamin H. Griswold, IV
Chairman

Mr. Griswold is Chairman of Brown Investment Advisory & Trust Company and joined the firm in 2005.  Prior to joining Brown Advisory, Mr. Griswold was Senior Chairman of DB Alex. Brown, Senior Chairman of BT Alex. Brown and Chairman of Alex. Brown & Sons.  He served as an artillery officer in the U.S. 7th Army in Germany.  In the non-profit sector, he is a trustee of the Johns Hopkins University, the Peabody Institute and chairs the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Endowment Board. He is also a past chairman of the board of the United Way of Central Maryland.
