Michael D. Hankin President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Hankin is President and Chief Executive Officer of Brown Advisory Holdings Incorporated. He has spent over 20 years assisting a wide range of individuals and institutions striving to meet their investment and financial goals. Mr. Hankin received a B.A. and M.A. from Emory University in 1979 where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa /Summa Cum Laude and received a J.D. from The University of Virginia School of Law in 1982. He was formerly a partner with the law firm of Piper & Marbury (now "DLA Piper") headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Hankin is a trustee of Johns Hopkins Medicine, the Baltimore Community Foundation, Lyme Disease Research Foundation of Maryland, and several private foundations. He is also Chairman of the Baltimore Waterfront Management Authority and Chairman of the Corporate Advisory Board of the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business and a member of the Advisory Board of Jhpiego. He serves as President of Land Preservation Trust, Inc. and is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Maryland Zoological Society (The Maryland Zoo).
