Mr. Dumais is a Strategic Advisor and the Washington Managing Partner. Prior to joining Brown Advisory in 1996, he was a Partner with the firm of Stewart, Plant & Blumenthal in Baltimore, where his practice was concentrated in estate and charitable planning for wealthy families, and estate and trust administration. Before joining S,P&B, Mr. Dumais was a member of the Trust and Estate Practice Group at Piper & Marbury for ten years. He is a member of both the Maryland and the District of Columbia Bar Associations. Mr. Dumais earned a J.D. (With Honor) from University of Maryland School of Law and a B. A. (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Maryland College Park. He is actively engaged in several non-profits, including the Sharing Montgomery Grants Committee of the Community Foundation for Montgomery County and as Volunteer Tutor at the Washington Jesuit Academy.
