Michael D. Hankin
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hankin is President and Chief Executive Officer of Brown Investment Advisory & Trust Co. He has spent over 20 years assisting a wide range of individuals and institutions striving to meet their investment and financial goals. Mr. Hankin received a B.A. and M.A. from Emory University in 1979 where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa /Summa Cum Laude and received a J.D. from The University of Virginia School of Law in 1982. He was formerly a partner with the law firm of Piper & Marbury, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. He is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Maryland Zoological Society (The Maryland Zoo) and serves as President of Land Preservation Trust, Inc. He is also a trustee of John Hopkins Medicine, the Baltimore Community Foundation, the Valleys Planning Council, and several private foundations.
