Jim Cavanaugh is a Senior Advisor at Brown Advisory.  Prior to joining Brown Advisory, he was Founder and Chairman of Cavanaugh Capital Management (CCM). Before founding CCM, Mr. Cavanaugh was Head of the Public Finance Department at Alex. Brown and Sons, Inc.  Mr. Cavanaugh began his investment career at Alex. Brown and Sons, Inc. in 1961 and was elected to partnership in 1969.  He served as Corporate Director from 1985 until his retirement from the firm in 1990.
