Paul J. Chew, CFA is a Partner of Brown Advisory and serves as the firm’s Head of Investments. Mr. Chew is responsible for leading the firm’s internally-managed investment strategies, open architecture and asset allocation capabilities. Under Mr. Chew’s leadership, Brown Advisory is a much larger and more diverse firm today, with much greater depth and scope. The firm’s core equity and fixed income capabilities have increased substantially in addition to the its platform of alternative investments — venture capital, leveraged buyouts, energy, credit, real estate and hedge funds — that serve to complement public equity and fixed income portfolios. While completing his M.B.A. at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, he worked as a research associate for a finance professor specializing in asset allocation. Prior to business school, he worked as a cash manager in the International Asset Management Department for J.P. Morgan & Company.
