Director of Open Architecture & Asset Allocation 
 
Summary of Job Responsibilities
 
The primary duties of this position include but are not limited to:
 
  • Setting and maintaining strategic asset allocation recommends for high net worth and institutional clients
  • Capital Markets research and analysis
  • Research and recommend external managers for our open architecture platform
  • Oversee due diligence process and conduct manager/product searches
  • Monitoring and reporting of external managers
  • Proactively explore opportunities in traditional and non-traditional asset classes
 
Job Requirements
 
  • At least 5-7 years experience of manager due diligence and selection
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • MBA and CFA are required
 
RELATIONSHIP ADMINISTRATOR
 
 
Brown Investment Advisory, a rapidly growing investment management and trust company, is currently seeking a full time Relationship Administrator to manage the fiduciary and administrative tasks for assigned client relationships. To qualify candidates must possess the following skills:
 
  • Knowledge of Trusts and related Fiduciary concepts
  • Highly organized
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Proficient in MS word, excel and powerpoint 

In addition to the above skills, interested applicants must conduct themselves in a highly professional manner. Knowledge of Trust Accounting and Portfolio Management systems, especially Metavante and Advent software, a plus.Prior experience as a client contact professional or trust officer is considered beneficial. The duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • New account set-up and account maintenance
  • Review of legal documents, tax and other filings
  • Proactive resolution of client inquiries
  • Maintain communication with Strategic Advisors and PM's
  • Coordinate customized client reporting
  • Assist in identification of client needs
  • Preparing correspondence and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Processing cash transactions
  • Coordinate web site activity for clients
  • Reviewing cash sheets and account statements for accuracy and overdrafts
