Howard is a director of Brown Advisory Incorporated. He is a Special Limited Partner of Greylock, a national venture capital firm, a trustee of various Fidelity Mutual Funds and director emeritus of Stryker Corporation. Prior to joining Greylock, he served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and he has served on the Secretary of Defense’s Business Board. Mr. Cox’s current non-profit activities include Executive Committee and Chairman Finance/Investment Committee, In-Q-Tel; President, Clermont Foundation; Trustee of The Brookings Institution and Business Executives for National Security; Trustee and Investment Committee Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Museum of Fine Arts and Norton Museum; Board of Fellows, Harvard Medical School; Dean’s Councils, Kennedy School and Harvard Business School; Executive Committee Commercial Club of Boston; member, Council on Foreign Relations; and past Chairman, National Venture Capital Association.
