Colin Kampfe, CAIA

Colin is a Principal and Portfolio Manager based in Austin, where he oversees balanced portfolios and tailored investment mandates for private clients, endowments, and foundations across the U.S. and in London. Since joining Brown Advisory in 2018, he has played an integral role in both portfolio management and investment research, previously helping lead the firm’s Austin-based research efforts and supporting the implementation of public and private investment strategies across client portfolios. Prior to Brown Advisory, Colin was an Associate at Dimensional Fund Advisors. He holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). Beyond his professional responsibilities, Colin is actively engaged in the community as a Junior Board Member for KIPP Texas, a Chapter Executive for the CAIA Association, and a board advisor for Texas McCombs Investment Advisers, LLC. He also contributes to the academic community as a guest lecturer at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
