Ian McAbeer, CFA, is a partner and portfolio manager based in Austin, Texas. Ian serves as the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Austin office and was formerly the head of the office from 2016-2023. Ian joined the firm in September 2016, as a result of the combination between Brown Advisory and Blackhaw Wealth Management, the firm which Ian founded in 2009 and subsequently sold to Brown Advisory. Ian is a CFA Charterholder and has a 20+ year career in the financial services industry, working with both private clients as well as endowments and foundations.
