Lucas Fisher is a portfolio manager in Brown Advisory’s private client business, where he works with families, business builders, and exited founders on investment management, strategic advisory, and the coordination of complex financial lives.


His work often sits at the intersection of investments, tax and estate planning, business transitions, liquidity events, philanthropy, family governance, and coordination with outside advisors. Over more than a decade at Brown Advisory, Lucas has developed a broad network across the Southeast, including leading lawyers, accountants, family office tax and accounting groups, founders, operators, and industry professionals. He is focused on bringing those resources to bear in service of clients and their broader goals.


Lucas co-leads Brown Advisory’s Carolinas business builders effort, which is focused on improving outcomes for business owner clients. He also participates in firmwide AI advancement initiatives aimed at improving how colleagues collaborate, make decisions, and serve clients.

Before joining Brown Advisory, Lucas played football at Duke University and was part of the 2013 ACC Coastal Division championship team. He later earned his business degree from the University of North Carolina.
