Michael S. Harris

Mike is Head of Family Office Advisory at Brown Advisory. He brings nearly 30 years of experience advising families and founders on investment, operational and philanthropic matters. Before joining Brown Advisory, he led a single-family office in Naples, Florida. He previously led two multibillion-dollar quantitative funds and a multi-family office within a large registered investment adviser. Harris is a former Chairman of the Managed Funds Association, a guest professor and lecturer at several universities, and Founder and President of the Carson Harris Foundation. He earned a B.A. with honors in Economics and Japanese Studies from Gettysburg College and studied at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan.
