Nathan Kelly is Director of Impact Investing at Brown Advisory, where he focuses on developing investment opportunities that drive measurable social and environmental outcomes across asset classes. Nathan brings over a decade of experience in impact investing and blended finance in emerging and developed markets.
Prior to joining Brown Advisory, Nathan served as Head of US Underserved Markets at CrossBoundary, a global investment and advisory firm dedicated to unlocking private capital for sustainable growth in underserved markets. At CrossBoundary, Nathan led initiatives in impact investing and blended finance, working with institutional investors, development finance institutions, and foundations to design and execute innovative investment structures. His work spanned sectors including regenerative agriculture, renewable energy, financial inclusion, and healthcare.
Nathan began his career in cross-border mergers and acquisitions at the global investment bank Lincoln International. He has advised governments and investors on strategies to catalyze private investment in underserved markets. He has deep expertise in structuring transactions that align commercial returns with positive impact, and he regularly contributes to industry thought leadership on blended finance and impact investing.
