Wistar is a partner, a client strategist and serves as head of the Charlottesville, Virginia office.
He works with multi-generational families to provide thoughtful strategic planning and investment advice across public and private markets, drawing on almost 20 years of experience in family office strategy and wealth management. He advises families on asset allocation, family and business succession, estate planning, and philanthropic strategies. He joined the firm in 2018 as a result of the partnership between Brown Advisory and Signature Family Wealth Advisors, where he helped launch the firm’s Charlottesville office in 2007. Wistar's previous experience includes working as executive director and general counsel roles for the University of Virginia's Miller Center Foundation, and as an attorney at Fulbright & Jaworksi, L.P. in Washington, D.C.
