Terri is a Partner at Brown Advisory and a portfolio manager in the Washington office. She manages balanced portfolios for private clients and smaller not-for-profits. Terri’s client base spans several major cities beyond Washington D.C., including New York, the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Terri is inspired by her diverse mix of clients – from entrepreneurs and company builders to financial professionals and corporate executives many of whom are women and leaders in their fields and communities. Within Brown Advisory, Terri is a senior member of the Women of Washington group which is building a strong, growing network of women to learn from and lean on. Prior to joining Brown Advisory in 2009, Terri was managing director at FBR Private Wealth in Arlington, Virginia (1999-2009) where she served as investment advisor to a number of Washington, D.C.-area private clients and philanthropies. From 1995-1996, she was a managing director overseeing client services at Potomac Asset Management in Bethesda, Maryland. In 1995, Terri was a consultant to the World Bank in Washington, D.C., assisting the pension investment team in its evaluation of global portfolio risk. Terri began her investing career in New York where she spent a decade (1984-1994) at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., focusing largely on private client management.
