Chad Larson

Chad is a partner and strategic advisor at Brown Advisory. He focuses on individual clients' planning regarding estate planning, taxation, financial planning, charitable giving and asset protection. Prior to Brown Advisory he worked at Craighill, Mayfield, Fenwick, Cromelin & Cobb as a trusts and estates attorney. Prior to this, he was practicing as a corporate and securities attorney at Dechert LLP.

Sam Shah, CFA

Sam is a Partner at Brown Advisory where he works to help evaluate and monitor risks across Brown Advisory's investments. Sam is a member of Brown Advisory's Investment Risk Management Committee, Pricing Committee, Credit Committee, and various other Investment Committees. Additionally, Sam is the Brown Advisory Funds Derivative Risk Manager responsible for evaluating risks related to their use of derivatives. Prior to joining Brown Advisory in 2012, Sam was a director of risk at Cadogan Management, a New York based fund of funds.

Megan Brune

Megan is a partner and serves as a relationship advisor at Brown Advisory. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Megan worked at Cavanaugh Capital Management in Towson, MD for 17 years and was a principal and the head of client service. During her tenure at Cavanaugh Capital Management, she maintained various roles within client service, portfolio management, trading, compliance and operations.

Alicia Burnham

Alicia is a relationship advisor with the Private Client team in the Washington, D.C. office where she is responsible for servicing multiple relationships for high-net-worth clients. Alicia has worked with the Beaty Haynes team within Brown Advisory since 2007. She also worked with Beaty Haynes & Associates since 2004, prior to the firm joining Brown Advisory. Prior to that, Alicia worked at Friedman Billings Ramsey.

Amar Patel

Amar is a partner, portfolio manager and member of the leadership team with Brown Advisory's Investment Solutions Group (ISG). The ISG is a centralized investment management and research team which makes asset allocation recommendations, performs manager research and selection, and creates and manages specialized partnership funds for endowments, foundations, families and individuals. Amar also oversees the group's fund offerings, leads the group's diversifying strategies research effort and advises the firm's largest clients on their investment decisions.

Olachi Opara

Olachi is a client advisor at Brown Advisory. She works with the portfolio management team to help manage the balanced accounts of their private clients. She joined Brown Advisory in 2007 from T. Rowe Price where she served as a retail specialist.

Billy Mathews, CFA

Billy is a partner and portfolio manager in the firm's international private client and charity team. Billy started his career in Brown Advisory's Baltimore office working with U.S. private clients before moving to the U.K. to advise our international clients. Many of his clients are global in nature and have U.S. connections - including U.S. taxpayers resident in the U.K., U.K. families resident in the U.S., U.S. trusts with international beneficiaries, and offshore trusts with U.S. beneficiaries. He has been in the investment industry since 2011. 

Matt Fleming

Matt is a portfolio manager in Brown Advisory's Baltimore office and works with both institutional and private clients. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Matt was responsible for handling mutual fund operations at Alex. Brown Investment Management. He also worked as an insurance underwriter to the mutual fund industry at ICI Mutual.

Doug Williams, CFA

Doug is a member of the equity research team serving as an investment specialist for our Large-Cap Growth strategy. Prior to his current role, Doug was a member of the U.S. Financial Intermediaries team where he worked with banks, insurance companies, broker dealers and Registered Investment Advisors. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Doug was a junior analyst at Cambridge Associates.
