Baltimore, MD. and Naples, FL., October 20, 2026 – Brown Advisory today announced that Michael S. Harris has joined the firm as Head of Family Office Advisory. Several colleagues from the single-family office he previously led as Chief Executive will also join the firm. The appointments build on Brown Advisory’s existing relationship with the family, a client and shareholder of the firm.

In his new role, Harris will work with colleagues across Brown Advisory to bring together investment management, strategic advice and family office support for families seeking a more integrated and efficient approach. Brown Advisory’s model is designed to reduce complexity where possible, helping families manage increasingly demanding financial lives with greater clarity and coordination. His appointment reflects the firm’s continued investment in the capabilities needed to deliver that approach.

Harris brings nearly 30 years of experience leading investment and family office organizations. Most recently, as Chief Executive of a single-family office in Naples, Florida, he oversaw the family’s investment and operational needs. Earlier in his career, he led two multibillion-dollar quantitative funds and a multi-family office within a large, registered investment adviser.

“Serving families and family offices has been central to Brown Advisory since the firm’s earliest days,” said Logie Fitzwilliams and Mike Hankin, Co-CEOs of Brown Advisory. “Michael brings deep experience across investments, family office leadership and strategic advice, as well as a clear understanding of the challenges multigenerational families face. We are delighted to welcome him and look forward to the contribution he will make to our clients and colleagues.”

“The decision to join Brown Advisory builds on the firm’s strong relationship with the family and creates an even better platform for serving families with complex needs,” said Harris. “Brown Advisory combines investment capabilities, strategic advice and a deeply client-focused culture. I am excited to join the firm alongside several of my colleagues and to build on what we have learned from serving this family over many years.”

Harris will be based in Brown Advisory’s new Naples office, providing a local base for serving clients in Florida and across the United States. He will also spend time in Baltimore and the firm’s other U.S. offices, working with colleagues across the business to support family office clients.
