Brigid Peterson, JD, Head of E&F Business

Brigid’s primary responsibility is ensuring Brown Advisory’s clients have the team, resources and support they need to meet their objectives. She brings extensive experience working with non-profit organizations, institutions and private foundations on strategic, operational and development issues. In her work with clients, Brigid serves as a thought partner to boards, staff and investment committees on a variety of organizational and strategic issues. Prior to Brown Advisory, Brigid practiced law, working with tax-exempt organizations and philanthropically minded individuals.

Brigid serves on the Kennedy Krieger Foundation, University of Maryland Carey School of Law and Baltimore Community Foundation boards and is on the investment committee of Notre Dame Preparatory School. Brigid is a graduate of Connecticut College and earned her JD from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law.

Sargent McGowan, CFA, Chief Investment Officer, E&F

Sargent is a partner and serves as the chief investment officer for the firm's endowment and foundation business. Prior to joining Brown Advisory, he was a managing director and senior member of the investment team for the University of Virginia's endowment office (UVIMCO) for 11 years. While at UVIMCO, he led multiple strategies across public and private equity, served as a member of the investment committee, and was involved in all aspects of the investment process and portfolio risk management. Prior to UVIMCO, he spent 11 years as a portfolio manager for Invesco's global equity group, where he led research efforts on a variety of global sectors and served as the head of developed market equities from 2009 to 2013. Prior to Invesco, he worked in sell-side equity research in New York as a research associate for both Sanford Bernstein and PaineWebber.

Amy Seto, CPA, Senior Advisor

Amy’s primary responsibility is serving in a strategic advisory role dedicated to non-profit clients across the firm. She offers practical advice to clients on varied mission-based objectives, which allows them to stay apprised of what’s important in similar industries, whether it's board governance, investment oversight, fund accounting or donor engagement.

Amy has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit space. Prior to joining the firm, Amy was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Baltimore Community Foundation, where she held various executive, operations and financial management roles during her 13 years of tenure.

Amy serves on the board of the Leonard & Helen R. Stulman Charitable Foundation, Creative Alliance, Heifetz International Music Institute, BGE (an Exelon Company) boards and is also on the audit committee of the Baltimore Community Foundation. Amy holds a BA from Rutgers University, received her MBA from Johns Hopkins University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Sarah Richardson, Director of Client Engagement

Sarah collaborates with teams across the firm to cultivate a superior client experience. With 18+ years of experience managing relationships and serving as an operational leader, Sarah is known for her passionate dedication to helping clients meet their goals and maintaining a keen focus on building efficient and scalable operations.  

Prior to Brown Advisory, Sarah managed business operations and served as the Chief Compliance Officer for Blackhawk Wealth Management. Previously, Sarah was a Vice President of Investor Relations at the D. E. Shaw Group in New York, where she spearheaded technology implementations and managed a global administrative team.

Sarah holds a BA from Cornell University (Phi Beta Kappa) and an MFA from the University of California at Irvine. She is a Board Member of Creative Action and a Social Venture Partner of Mission Capital.

Thad Glowacki, Portfolio Manager

Thad is responsible for building and managing portfolios for clients while guiding them in their decision-making process regarding their manager selection and investment allocations. Thad’s ability to draw on his knowledge as a direct private equity investor and corporate lawyer is additive to serving clients in need of expert advice on their portfolios.  

With 20+ years of experience in the investment industry, 15 of which was spent in endowment management, Thad serves clients of the firm by effectively building and managing portfolios that align with their mission. His extensive network in the industry allows for additional resources to be brought to bear on behalf of clients.

Thad is currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees for The International School of Charlottesville. Thad received his BS from Dartmouth College and his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Brandon Parrish, CFA, CAIA, Portfolio Manager

Brandon collaborates with clients to understand their investment objectives, construct investment policy statements, and build customized portfolios across the liquidity and complexity spectrum. His generalist research background and a deep interest in financial markets inform much of his investment approach. Today, his primary research responsibilities are portfolio construction, asset allocation, and economic scenario analysis.

Brandon’s community involvement includes sitting on the Roger Williams University’s Center for Advanced Financial Education board. He is a graduate of Lead Boston.

Brandon received his BS from Roger Williams University and his MS from Boston College, and he has CFA and CAIA certifications.

Colin Chandler, OCIO Investment Analyst

Colin is an OICO investment analyst at Brown Advisory, based in the Boston office. He works with the OCIO team to manage portfolios on behalf of endowment and foundation clients. Before this role, Colin was a Summer Analyst at Brown Advisory and an Equity Research Intern at Blue Point Investment Management. Colin holds a BS from Loyola University Maryland.

Andrew Generoso, CFA, OCIO Investment Analyst

Andrew is an OCIO investment analyst at Brown Advisory, based in the Boston office. He works with the OCIO team to manage balanced portfolios for endowment and foundation clients. Prior to joining the firm, Andrew worked as a Portfolio Analyst at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, managing balanced portfolios for families, endowments and foundations.

Gordon Wagner, Consultant Relations Director

Gordon’s primary focus is on building and maintaining strong relationships with investment search consultants and non-profit committee members. Prior, Gordon served as a client advisor responsible for partnering with our non-profit clients to ensure the proper team and investment solutions were developed and executed based on each client's specific considerations and goals.  
 

Gordon received his BBA from the University of Mississippi and his MBA from the Loyola University of Maryland.

Prior to joining the firm, Sandy worked as an Outdoor Ecology Educator and as a leader in a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities gain life and work skills. Sandy holds a BA from Alfred University.
