News Summary

Thad Glowacki will partner with Paul Chew, Brandon Parrish and Adela Skenderasi as part of a team dedicated to OCIO clients.

BALTIMORE — Brown Advisory, a global, private and independent investment management and strategic advisory firm, is excited to announce that Thad S. Glowacki joined as a Partner and Portfolio Manager responsible for managing the investment portfolios of OCIO clients. Mr. Glowacki has over two decades of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner at Edgehill Endowment Partners where he was responsible for manager selection, asset allocation and portfolio construction for a collection of mission‐ driven nonprofit institutions. He was also a member of Edgehill’s investment committee.

Prior to joining Edgehill, Mr. Glowacki was a partner at Mangham Associates where he invested on behalf of more than 30 endowments, foundations and family offices. Before transitioning to endowment management, Mr. Glowacki worked in private equity at Harren Equity Partners, practiced corporate law at Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett LLP, and began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. He is a member of the bar in the State of New York and serves on the Board of Trustees for the International School of Charlottesville where he chairs the Finance Committee. Thad graduated from Dartmouth College and The University of Virginia School of Law.

Mr. Glowacki joins Adela Skenderasi and Brandon Parrish as part of a new portfolio management team led by Chief Investment Officer, Paul Chew, who together, will be dedicated to the firm’s largest and most complex endowment and foundation (E&F) clients, which in the industry are often defined as those seeking an OCIO partner. Prior to serving as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer for the last 14 years, Mr. Chew led the team responsible for the development of both the single strategy and open architecture platforms at Brown Advisory. Ms. Skenderasi joined Brown Advisory in 2021 from the International Monetary Fund where she worked as a Senior Investment Officer. Prior to joining the International Monetary Fund, Ms. Skenderasi was Director of Investment Operations for Georgetown University’s Investment Office. Mr. Parrish has been a portfolio manager at Brown Advisory since 2018 working with some of the firm’s most complex endowments, foundations and family office relationships. Previously, Mr. Parrish spent time at NEPC and BNY Mellon.

Today, Brown Advisory manages more than $12 billion for endowments and foundations – with relationships ranging in size from $10 million to over $2.0 billion. The focus of this team on clients seeking an OCIO partner, allows the firm to expand its attention to those organizations who, by nature of their size, require a specialized set of services. “Thad’s depth of asset allocation and manager selection experience in the OCIO space brings a differentiated perspective to the broader capabilities of our portfolio management team,” says Mr. Chew. The firm’s E&F clients are further supported by Senior Advisor, Amy Seto and the E&F Team’s new Director of Client Engagement, Sarah Richardson.

“Investment committees today are more sophisticated than ever and deserve a partner who is committed to delivering first rate investment performance and access to compelling managers, but provide curated strategic advice and streamlined fiduciary governance, as well. We’ve assembled a team that will continue to do just that for our OCIO clients,” says Brigid Peterson, Brown Advisory’s Head of Endowments and Foundations.
