BALTIMORE — Brown Advisory, a global, private and independent investment management and strategic advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Alexa Model and Adam Mantin joined the firm’s DC office following the acquisition of Ashwood Capital Management.

Ms. Model joins Brown Advisory as a Strategic Advisor. She brings 25 years of experience providing advice in running a single family office and planning issues around charitable giving, family planning and tax issues, in both the U.S. and U.K. Before she co-founded Ashwood, Alexa was the Chief Executive Officer of River Partners Capital Management, a $2.5 billion multi-family office. Prior to that she had been the Director of Family Office Services at Levin Capital Strategies, BKF Capital, and John A. Levin & Co. respectively.

Mr. Mantin, who is serving as a Portfolio Manager, brings an extensive network in the Family Office space and is well regarded as an investor. Prior to Ashwood, which he co-founded with Alexa Model, Adam was Chief Investment Officer of River Partners Capital Management, a $2.5 billion multi-family office. Adam worked to modernize and customize the investment process including diversifying an asset pool previously managed by a single firm into a multi-manager, multi-asset class portfolio. He also spent five years at Cambridge Associates. Adam began his investment career at Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management.
